He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap,
to make them sit with princes, with the princes of his people.
–Psalm 113:7–8 (ESV)
Life hits hard sometimes.
It can feel like there’s never enough—time, money, rest, space.
In the noise and pressure of it all, it’s easy to believe we’re falling behind or being forgotten.
But God sees us in the dust.
He reaches down into the mess, the exhaustion, the “not enough”—and lifts us up. Not just to survive, but to sit with princes. That’s not poetic exaggeration. It’s His promise. The Creator of the universe doesn’t just patch us up—He restores us with honor and seats us in places of worth. Not because we earn it, but because we are deeply loved.
Maybe today you’re just trying to make ends meet.
Maybe your heart feels weighed down, like no one really sees what you’re going through.
But the Lord does see you. He lifts the humble and draws near to the brokenhearted.
You are not behind. You are not forgotten.
Set your eyes on Him—He’s already reaching to lift you up.
Mighty Thought
Even when we feel low, God is never far.
He lifts the humble and seats them in high places—for His glory and because we are His.
Closing Prayer:
Lord Jesus, Thank You for being with me in the low places.
You see every need, every longing, and every moment I feel forgotten.
Lift me up today—not to be seen by others, but to rest in who You say I am.
I trust You to provide, protect, and raise me in Your time.
Amen.
