The One who holds all things, seen and unseen.
“For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.” —Colossians 1:16
No matter what we see going on around us—politically, technologically, or relationally—God is in control. He remains the Creator of all things seen and unseen, sovereign over His creation and unwavering in His purpose.
The Lord of all lords is not slow to keep His promises, as some understand slowness. He does all things in His perfect timing, weaving together the events of the world according to His will. When the news screams chaos, when storms shake the very foundations of our families, and when the world seems more divided than ever, we can rest in the truth that God is not mocked nor is He silent. His hand is steady, His plans are perfect, and His promises are sure. Nothing is hidden from His sight, and nothing is beyond His power to redeem.
Even when the world feels unstable, God’s sovereignty is a constant we can trust. Here are three places where that truth can strengthen our hearts:
- When anxiety and overwhelm feel like constant companions, remember that the Creator of all things sees you and holds you.
- If the state of the world leaves you anxious and uncertain, let your faith be strengthened by His promises—He is sovereign over every leader and every nation.
- When technology advances faster than you can understand, trust that God is not surprised. He created the minds that innovate, and He holds all things together for His purposes.
Mighty Thought:
God is not idle, and His hand is not weak. He is actively holding creation together, working all things for good, and watching over His people with steadfast love.
Lord, thank You for Your thoughts toward us. Thank You for loving us and leading us. I’m grateful that You are in control of all things and that Your lovingkindness toward me is strong and mighty. When I have trouble seeing Your goodness, please remind me that You’re always with me.
Bless You, Lord. Amen.
