“…Holy Father, keep them in Your name, the name which You have given Me, so that they may be one just as We are.” (NASB2020)
Sometimes this life can feel lonely. We may find ourselves isolated by busyness or depression, but there is hope.
Jesus prayed for us. He didn’t just pray for the Pharisees, or for His disciples. In John chapter 17, verses 19-20, Jesus prays for all of those who believe in Him through the word of those people standing near Him… That’s Us!
Jesus prayed for us to be One with Him and with the Father.
Even knowing He was facing suffering and death — and feeling the loneliness of the garden, where His closest friends could not stay awake with Him — His heart was still on His mission.
He prayed for US.
When you’re facing trials – remember that Jesus prayed for you.
When you feel scared or lost – remember that Jesus prayed for you.
When you wonder if anyone cares – remember that Jesus prayed for you to be united with Him even during His darkest hours.
Mighty Thought:
Jesus prayed for many things, but in one of His most profound moments, He was praying for you. His desire is for us to believe in Him, to be saved, and to live in deep, lasting union with Him.
Closing Prayer:
Lord, thank you for never leaving me. Thank you for thinking of me even when I am distracted by everything I face. Today, I ask that you guide my heart and lead me. Amen.
